NH Special Olympics Winter Games in Waterville Valley

GET INVOLVED!

   For over 20 years, the insurance professionals in New Hampshire have volunteered their time at the New Hampshire Special Olympics Winter Games in Waterville Valley.  Historically, we have over 100 insurance volunteers!

This year is no different, however, because we are now coordinating more events than ever, we need as many volunteers as possible, (families and friends are welcome too) !!

Some Special Olympics Winter Games

DO's and DON'Ts

  • You DO NOT need to ski.

  •   You DO NOT need to be there the whole time.

  •   You DO need to want to have fun!

  •  You DO need to dress warmly!

  • You DO need to cheer on the athletes and volunteering with other insurance people!

The following positions are available to volunteers:

  • STAGERS...lining up the athletes for the event

  • STARTERS...timing up the events from the starting line

  • FINISHERS...timing the events from the finish line

  • CALCULATORS:...figuring out times

  • AWARDS...working with the law enforcement personnel to hand out awards to athletes

  • COURSE MARSHALS...out on the track, cheering athletes on and keeping track of them
